What it fixes

What changes with Industry packs.

In short

An industry pack is a ready-made setup for one kind of business. We make the packs you buy available on your system, and an administrator switches each on, or off again without losing anything entered. Two exist today. The manufacturing pack adds a downtime reason on job cards, a BOM approval step and Manufacturing Floor shortcuts. The retail pack adds a loyalty points field on POS invoices, an approval step for new items and Retail Floor shortcuts. Packs for other industries are not built.

  • Before: New BOMs reach production before anyone checks them.

With Industry packs: With the manufacturing pack, a new BOM goes from Draft to Pending Approval, and only a Manufacturing Manager can approve it, which submits it, or reject it back to Draft.

  • Before: Nobody can tell why machines stood idle.

With Industry packs: Each job card records a Downtime Reason — Machine Breakdown, Material Shortage, Operator Break, Quality Hold or Other.

  • Before: New items are added without anyone checking them.

With Industry packs: With the retail pack, an Item Manager submits a new item and a Stock Manager approves or rejects it.

What it does

What Industry packs does for you.

Everything here works today on the demo company.

  • 01

    Manufacturing pack — downtime reason

A Downtime Reason on every job card, from Machine Breakdown, Material Shortage, Operator Break, Quality Hold or Other.

Works on the same records as

  • 02

    Manufacturing pack — BOM approval

Draft, Pending Approval, Approved. A Manufacturing User submits for approval; a Manufacturing Manager approves it or rejects it back to Draft.

  • 03

    Manufacturing pack — floor shortcuts

A Manufacturing Floor section at the top of All screens, with work orders, job cards, bills of materials and workstations.

  • 04

    Retail pack — loyalty points

A Loyalty Points Earned field on each POS invoice, for the points the sale earns under your own scheme.

  • 05

    Retail pack — new-item approval

Draft, Pending Approval, Approved or Rejected. Item Managers submit; Stock Managers decide; a rejected item can be revised.

  • 06

    Retail pack — floor shortcuts

A Retail Floor section with POS invoices, items, customers and POS profiles.

  • 07

    Switch on, switch off

An administrator turns a pack on or off on the Industry packs page, where What it adds shows its fields and approval steps. The setup wizard suggests the pack for your trade.

Reports and roles

What you see, and who sees it.

Reports come ready on day one. Each person sees only the screens and records their role allows.

Reports you get

  • Job cards by Downtime Reason (list filter)
  • BOMs waiting for approval (list filter)
  • New items waiting for approval (list filter)
  • POS invoices with loyalty points (list filter)
  • Records using each pack field (What it adds)

Not in Industry packs yet

Left out on purpose, or planned.

  • Packs for hospitality, logistics, professional services, real estate, non-profits, healthcare and education. They were scoped, not built.
  • New screens or reports of their own. A pack sets up the modules you already have.
On a phone
Packs change setup, not where you can work: everything works in any phone browser and installs to the home screen. Only point of sale, the shop floor, attendance check-in, maintenance visits, asset physical checks and bill photos for Read a bill keep working offline.
Bringing data in
Nothing to import: a pack is setup, not data. Items and BOMs come in through the usual spreadsheet or Tally import.
Getting data out
The fields a pack adds show in lists and exports like any other field.
Integrations
Packs have no integrations of their own.
Where it runs
Runs as your own dedicated system: on your server under an AMC, or on MyRecords Cloud for a monthly fee. Packs are switched on per system. Data ownership and exit

Questions

Questions people ask

Something else on your mind?

Ask us anything about modules, a quote or moving across. A person from our team replies.

Ask a question
01Which industry packs are available?

Two, manufacturing and retail. Packs for other industries were scoped but are not built.

02Do I need a pack to run a factory or a shop?

No. Manufacturing and POS work fully without a pack. A pack adds a few fields, an approval step and floor shortcuts on top.

03What does the manufacturing pack add?

A Downtime Reason on job cards, an approval step for new BOMs and Manufacturing Floor shortcuts to work orders, job cards, BOMs and workstations.

04What does the retail pack add?

A Loyalty Points Earned field on each POS invoice, an approval step for new items and Retail Floor shortcuts to POS invoices, items, customers and POS profiles.

05Can I switch a pack off?

Yes. Turning a pack off switches its approval step off and hides its fields and shortcuts. Nothing you entered is deleted, and turning it on again brings everything back.

06Will you build a pack for my industry?

Not as a ready product today. Changes for your business are quoted separately as custom work.

07Do packs cost extra?

Yes. Each pack is priced on its own, on top of the modules it needs.
