What this statement covers
This website, at the address you are reading now, including the help centre. It does not cover the MyRecords product itself or the live demo, which is a separate site.
What we do
- Structure: real headings, landmarks, lists and tables, so screen readers can move around a page. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page.
- Keyboard: everything works with a keyboard, and the focus is always visible.
- Colour and text: body text has a contrast ratio of 16.6:1 and secondary text 6.8:1 against the background. Status labels always carry words, not only a colour.
- Touch: buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall.
- Motion: animations play only when on screen, stop when your device asks for reduced motion, and anything that loops for more than 5 seconds has a pause button.
- Without JavaScript: every page can be read in full. Interactive parts show their final state.
- Forms: every field has a visible label, and errors say what to fix.
- Language: each page declares its language, so screen readers use the right voice.
- Questions and answers use the browser’s own open-and-close control, which works with assistive technology.
How we test
- Automated WCAG 2.2 A and AA checks (axe) on every page, and Lighthouse on each page template.
- A check that no page scrolls sideways at 360 pixels wide.
- Keyboard-only checks, and visual checks at 390 and 1440 pixels wide.
- Checks with reduced motion switched on.
Automated tools find only some problems, and we have not had an independent audit yet.
Known limits
- Pictures of product screens. Each has a text description, but the text inside the picture cannot be read by a screen reader. Ask us and we will describe any screen in full.
- Downloads such as PDF guides and spreadsheet templates may not meet every requirement. Ask us for a version that works for you.
- Free tools are tested by keyboard, but some complex results may read awkwardly on a screen reader. Tell us if one does.
Tell us about a barrier
Use the contact page and mark your message “Accessibility”. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We will reply, help you get the information another way, and fix the page where we can.
