How it works

Five steps, start to finish.

In short

Hiring in MyRecords runs from a job opening to an applicant board, interview rounds with feedback, an offer letter and a new employee. Appraisals run in cycles: goals and key result areas, self review, feedback from colleagues, a final review with the increment, and a 9-box grid of performance and potential for the managers to compare.

  1. Step 1

    Open the role

A job opening with its pay band and description. Publish it and share the job post link, including on WhatsApp.

  2. Step 2

    Move applicants

Shortlist, hold or reject on the applicant board; schedule interview rounds.

  3. Step 3

    Interview

Each interviewer gives feedback with a rating; HR sees who still owes feedback and reminds them.

  4. Step 4

    Offer and join

An offer letter as PDF, then the applicant is made an employee and onboarding begins.

  5. Step 5

    Review

An appraisal cycle sends self reviews, collects feedback and ends with the final review and the increment.

  • Dragging people between boxes on the 9-box grid. The final score is worked out again when a review is saved, so calibration is done in the review.

Questions

Questions people ask

Something else on your mind?

Ask us anything about it. A person from our team replies.

Ask a question
01Can we post openings on WhatsApp?

Yes. Each opening has a job post link you can share on WhatsApp or anywhere else.

02Can a candidate accept the offer online?

Yes, if you switch it on. The candidate opens a private link, types their name to accept or decline, and the time is kept. It is off by default.

03Does the new joiner have to be typed in again?

No. "Create employee" on the accepted offer makes the employee record from the applicant's details, and onboarding starts from there.

04Can managers compare their teams' ratings?

Yes. The cycle shows progress and the spread of ratings by manager, and the 9-box grid places each person by performance and potential.
