Most business software is priced per user, per month. It looks cheap for three people. Then the storekeeper needs to check stock, the salesman needs to see a customer’s dues on his phone, and the accountant’s assistant needs to enter bills, and every one of them is another line on the invoice.
So the owner shares one login among five people, or keeps half the team on WhatsApp and paper. The software is cheap, and the business still runs on guesswork.
How MyRecords is charged instead
- A one-time setup fee for the modules you switch on. It pays for configuring your system, moving your masters and opening balances, print formats and training.
- A running fee: either MyRecords Cloud, monthly, which includes the server and maintenance, or a yearly AMC if the system runs on your own server.
- Unlimited users on every module, with no per-user fees. Adding the 26th person costs nothing.
Quoted for your business, not from a price list
Every system is set up and customised to your requirements, so we quote it for you, in writing, before any work starts, at our best price. It works the same way in any country: India is the first fully supported market, and elsewhere the core runs in your own currency. Our first customers, in the pilot programme, get a discounted price.
What the price does depend on
Not users, but it does depend on three things:
- The modules you switch on. Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Projects and timesheets, Assets, Quality or Lending are added only if you need them.
- The size of the business. Setup is sized for small (up to 30 staff), medium (up to 150) or large (up to 500), because a bigger business has more data to move, more roles to set up and more people to train.
- Where it runs. MyRecords Cloud in India or your region, or your own server under an AMC.
Why this works for us too
Every client gets a dedicated system, so our cost is the server and the care it needs, not the number of logins. Charging per user would only discourage the people who should be using the system from using it.
When per-user pricing is cheaper
Honestly: when you have very few users and need only accounting. A three-person office that only keeps books and GST will pay less with a per-user cloud plan or a desktop licence. Our comparisons show what each vendor charges, with dated prices from their own sites, so you can weigh them against a quote from us.
